We may receive more Star Wars games from EA in the future. In an interview, the company's CEO and CFO announced that they wanted to invest even more in the brand in the future. Star Wars: Squadrons is just a new title in the starting blocks. However, the sales figures of the last games make it clear that EA continues to be very successful with the sci-fi saga.

Several leaders of Electronic Arts spoke in an interview about the future of Star Wars at the publisher. According to CEO Andrew Wilson and CFO Blake Jorgensen, fans can look forward to even more games. EA wants to focus more on the popular sci-fi brand.

Just a few days ago, the company launched Star Wars: Squadrons, a new game from EA Motive that is to follow in the footsteps of the X-Wing series at the time. At the end of last year, Respawn Entertainment launched Jedi: Fallen Order, the first single-player game for some time. However, those responsible have not revealed which titles are specifically planned for 2021 and later. The relationship with Disney is still described as excellent.

"We have a fantastic relationship with Disney. We have a fantastic relationship with Lucas. We have a longstanding partnership with them that goes back to Star Wars: The Old Republic, which will be released in 2011." said CEO Andrew Wilson.

Star Wars sales continue to be very high

Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order has been able to implement more than ten million units since its release in November 2019. The two parts of Star Wars Battlefront also sold more than 35 million units. Shortly after the release of Battlefront 2, EA had to take massive criticism for in-game microtransactions. Several Star Wars projects have also been discontinued in recent months. Just today, Star Wars: Episode 1 – Racer, an old classic from 1999 for PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch, was re-released with improvements.
