After Microsoft announced the purchase of Zenimax Media, questions naturally arose as to what the future of the PS4 version of the MMORPG The Elder Scrolls Online would look like. Fans don't need to worry though.
With the purchase of Zenimax Media by Microsoft, it is unclear how releases for the Playstation 4 will be handled in the future. Therefore, players of the MMORPG make The Elder Scrolls Online currently a bit worried.
Everything remains as it is
Is Microsoft perhaps discontinuing the PS4 version of the MMORPG ESO? "I would like to take this moment to reassure the entire Elder Scrolls community that ESO will continue to be supported as it has been up to now, and we expect to continue on each of the platforms that are currently supported grow and prosper, "said Matt Firor, Studio Director of ZeniMax Online Studios. "We're very happy with the news and can't wait to see how the two companies (Microsoft and Zenimax Media) make ESO better for everyone."
If you play the MMORPG The Elder Scrolls Online on PS4, you can continue to play with peace of mind. Nothing changes. ESO on PS4 will continue to be playable and will continue to be supported as it was before. The same updates are coming out as for the Xbox One. Next up would be the Markarth DLC and Update 28.
The previously announced release of the MMORPG for the PS5 still seems to be in place. After all, Microsoft declared that it would fulfill existing deals. This means that Deathloop and GhostWire: Toyko will still be released for the PS5. And since the release of ESO for PS5 was already announced, it should take place.
The MMORPG ESO will therefore remain with the Playstation community in the future.
Doom Eternal and The Elder Scrolls Online appear for PS5 and Xbox Series X.
