A new deepfake video now shows you how Robert Downey Jr., Scarlett Johansson and Co. would look like in their parade roles as powerful superheroes in the upcoming action game Marvel's Avengers.
Marvel's Avengers is expected to be released on September 4th, 2020 – but the heroes in the action-adventure will look a bit strange to Marvel fans. As has been known since the first trailer, the characters in the game do not have the facial features of their movie role models. Now a Youtuber has created a deepfake video in which he the faces of Robert Downey Jr., Scarlett Johansson and other big Marvel names in sequences of the game has used. So fans can now see what the game would have looked like with the Hollywood stars in the leading roles.

Marvel's Avengers: Hollywood power in the deepfake video
Hulk, Captain America, Thor, Iron Man and Black Widow will be among the playable heroes in the new Avengers adventure from Crystal Dynamics and Square Enix – and although the popular characters will of course be among others are clearly recognizable because of their outfits, weapons and skills, their facial features are nevertheless noticeably different from their depiction in the MCU. This is probably because the game has not licensed the undoubtedly very expensive rights to the actors' appearance. The Youtuber BabyZone has now taken on this problem and transferred the facial expressions of the Hollywood stars into the game in a video.

In addition to Robert Downey Jr. and Scarlett Johansson, the video also shows Mark Ruffalo, Chris Evans and Chris Hemsworth in their superhero roles. Even if some of the scenes still look a bit bumpy, the eyes look a bit expressionless and Tony Stark's new hairstyle is quite unusual, The deepfake video still gives the sequences a certain Hollywood flair.
Deepfake video with Spider-Man
The Youtuber BabyZone has not ventured into the Marvel universe for the first time with his Avengers video. Almost two weeks ago we reported in an article about a spectacular video in which he integrated Tobey Maguire into sequences of the PS4 hit Spider-Man and thus certainly fulfilled some fan dreams. Whether or not he'll create a similar deepfake video once Spider-Man joins the Avengers on the PS4 and PS5 remains to be seen.
