Prince Kael'thas was once the lord of the blood elves who defended the magical kingdom of Quel'thalas from the remnants of the Scourge in Warcraft 3 and Burning Crusade. In search of redemption, Kael'thas was even ready to sacrifice his soul. After his death, the Elven Prince ended up in the Shadowlands in Revendreth, where he was to atone for his sins. To celebrate his return to WoW Shadowlands, Warcraft fan IKEdit created a cool video in honor of Kael'thas, which is all about the new expansion for World of Warcraft.

The story of Warcraft 3 revolved around the races of Azeroth who fought for survival in the Third War. In the war of annihilation against mortals, the Burning Legion unleashed the undead scourge that raged primarily in the Eastern Kingdoms. Lordaeron and other human kingdoms fell prey to many of the undead. But the Elven Kingdom of Quel'thalas was not spared from the Scourge either. As champion of the Lich King, Prince Arthas led the army of the undead against the high elves. Not only did the undead destroy the magical forests of the Elven Empire, they also destroyed the source of their power – the Sunwell.

This catastrophe marked the birth of the blood elves, which Prince Kael'thas briefly led after the death of his father. In search of redemption for his troubled people, however, the prince fell under the diabolical power of the Legion. Kael'thas could drive the Scourge away, but the price was high. He died in Fortress of Storms and later again in the Magister's Terrace dungeon. In the hero trailer of Heroes of the Storm, Blizzard summarized its story again in an impressive video.

Heroes of the Storm: Kael'thas Official Trailer

With WoW Shadowlands, Kael'thas is now returning to the big stage of World of Warcraft (buy now € 14.99 ). He gets a new model in the Revendreth campaign, the former prince plays an important role.

To celebrate the return of Kael'thas Sunstrider, took WoW fan and YouTuber IKEdit the hero trailer of Heroes of the Storm as a template for a new video in which we see the vampire figure of Kael'thas. In his work, the artist paid attention to numerous details such as the gloomy expanses of Revendreth, which are reminiscent of the ruins of Silbermond. In the original video, Kael'thas fights Arthas and the Scourge in Silbermond with devil magic. In the fan trailer, however, Kael'thas attacks Bolvar, the former Lich King, with blood magic. The fiery blood phoenix is particularly impressive!

Whether there will be a similar fight between Kael'thas and Bolvar in WoW Shadowlands remains to be seen. IKEdit's video definitely puts you in the mood for the new expansion for World of Warcraft! And who knows, maybe the heroes of HOTS will soon get brand new cards and outfits that are all about Shadowlands.
