Netflix has to pause filming of Season 2 of The Witcher again. Like the Website deadline reported that four set employees were infected with the corona virus – and have been in quarantine since then. Nobody is affected by the main cast, but safety comes first. Showrunner Lauren S. Hissrich addresses the current situation via the short message service Twitter.
"The world is upside down, thank you for the numerous support. We witchers are okay. The health and safety of our crew and family members comes first – and we will do everything we can to protect them. We will be back soon," the showrunner. At what time the shooting for Season 2 of The Witcher can resume has not yet been determined. It also remains to be seen whether the start of the new episodes will be postponed. So far, it was only known that the new episodes should start on Netflix in 2021 – specific dates have not yet been communicated.
