Final Fantasy 14 is still on the upswing and almost regularly sets a new player record on Steam. After we reported the maximum value of around 49,000 concurrently active users a week ago, the online role-playing game from Square Enix has been expanding this value over the past few days. The current record is now at 58,043 playersthat were online at the same time on the Final Fantasy 14 servers.

At the weekend, Square Enix even had to temporarily stop selling digital codes for PlayStation and PC because the virtual warehouse was completely sold out. From time to time there is also a queue when logging in, which normally only occurs when a new extension is launched. The hype about the MMORPG was probably triggered a few days ago by Twitch streamer Asmongold. Actually known as a World of Warcraft fan, the streamer gave the Square Enix title a chance – and seems to have taken a liking to the role-playing game too.

On average, over 100,000 viewers follow the Asmongold transfers from Final Fantasy 14. On the first day, at the best time, over 211,000 viewers were there in the live stream. Now other Twitch partners want to jump on the bandwagon and take a look at the role-playing game. Final Fantasy 14 is currently available for PC, PS5 and PS4. On November 23, 2021, Endwalker will be the next expansion for the game. Meanwhile the Overview page gone live with more details.
