Final Fantasy 16 is official! Square Enix presented the new role-playing game as part of the PlayStation Showcase. Set in a medieval fantasy world, the title will appear on the console exclusively for PlayStation 5 and the PC. To mark the announcement, a first trailer was published, which gives you a first glimpse of the story of part 16. However, those responsible have not yet revealed a release. Square Enix plans to show more details during an event next year.
After numerous rumors, Square Enix announced the next part of the RPG series with Final Fantasy 16 as part of the PS5 Showcase. In the trailer shown, fans get a first look at the new setting of the title. Accordingly, the story of part 16 is told in a medieval fantasy world. The focus seems to be on a boy whom we have been with for several decades. Naoki Yoshida is responsible for the role play project as producer and director. We have included the trailer for Final Fantasy 16 here below.
Final Fantasy 16 will be released exclusively for PlayStation 5 and the PC. Square Enix has not yet revealed a release. In the coming year there should be more information about the game. The development is carried out by Creative Business Unit III, who worked on Final Fantasy 14 and Dragon Quest Builders, among other things.
The trailer shown was recorded on a PC, which should correspond to the performance of a PS5. In November 2016, Final Fantasy 15 was the last offshoot of the main series. Parallel to Part 16, Square Enix is also currently working on the development of Final Fantasy 7 Part 2. We will of course keep you updated when we get more information about Final Fantasy 16.
