The developers of Square Enix have announced the long-awaited Playstation 5 version of Final Fantasy 7 Remake, and it bears the addition of Intergrade, because it not only brings visual improvements compared to the original remake, but also a new episode with the new character Yuffie Kisaragi and additions for combat and gameplay.
As part of Sony's new State of Play, Square Enix developers have announced the long-awaited Playstation 5 version of Final Fantasy 7 Remake. Who is yuffie
Yuffie Kisagari is introduced as the Wutai ninja who comes to Midgar to join Avalanche and wrest its Ultimate Materia from the Shinra Corporation. This is the official text that you can find on the Intergrade website can read. You then take control of the ninja, experience the events of the game from a slightly different perspective, and apparently also meet the character Sonon. You cannot experience Yuffie's adventure on the Playstation 4, you need a Playstation 5! Final Fantasy 7 Remake Intergrade will be released on June 10, 2021.
What happens to people who have the Playstation 4 version of Final Fantasy 7 Remake?
The people at Square Enix came up with the following concept: As already mentioned, you cannot play Intergrade or Yuffie's episode on the Playstation 4. If you have a Playstation 5, you can upgrade the basic version of Final Fantasy 7 Remake to the Playstation 5 version for free. The patch is appropriately called "Final Fantasy 7 Remake PlayStation 5 Enhancement Upgrade". An update patch will allow you to transfer your save data from FF7R to the PS5 before the release of FF7RI. However, you then have to buy the Yuffie episode individually via PSN in order to be able to play it. Also: "To upgrade from the PlayStation 4 disc version of the game to the digital PS5 version, a PS5 console with a disc drive is required."
