Square Enix has to announce a delay in the development of the next game for the Final Fantasy 7 remake. However, this delay should be limited.
The corona pandemic is not over yet and no one can say yet how long it will last. The situation affects the development of some games, including the next part of the game Final Fantasy 7 remake.
A slight delay
"It hurts and grieves to see so many people around the world suffering from the virus and even losing their lives," said producer Yoshinori Kitase. "When we set the game's release date, no one could have predicted such a global pandemic, and the game's release in this unprecedented situation has caught us off guard. At this point, the team is still working remotely on the next game. Our performance will be therefore temporarily fall below 100% efficiency, but I don't think it will have a major impact in the long run. I sincerely hope that Final Fantasy 7 Remake will help those who are forced to endure the stress of a "locked up life" in these difficult times can provide a moment of relief and pleasure. "
How the story continues after the surprising end of the first game is not clear. There has already been speculation that this is not a real remake. For the next episode, the team will probably no longer strive for a linear gameplay as in the current game. That makes sense, because in the original from 1997 there is a freely explorable world that should somehow appear in the remake.
When we learn more about Final Fantasy Remake Part 2 is not clear. However, the developers hope to be able to complete the game as soon as possible. If you want to learn more about role-playing, then read our test.
