The first exhibitors to take part in this year's gamescom in Cologne are now known. These include Microsoft and Nintendo, among others, who have already given their approval. In general, the event is still on a growth path, as the current figures show.
Although the start for this year's gamescom in Cologne is still a few months away, it is already casting its shadow. The organizers have since published a list of the first exhibitors who have already agreed to participate in the fair. This time, this includes Microsoft and Nintendo, which will definitely be in Cologne. But THQ Nordic, Electronic Arts and Ubisoft are also honored. Here is a list of previously confirmed participants from the gaming industry, which, incidentally, is still missing from Sony:
- astragon entertainment
- Bandai Namco Entertainment
- Bethesda Softworks
- Capcom Entertainment
- CD project red
- Electronic Arts
- ESL Gaming
- Kalypso Media
- Koch Media
- Microsoft / Xbox
- THQ Nordic
The organizers have also announced that gamescom is still on a growth path. In the course of the early booking campaign, over 200 exhibitors and 35 group organizers secured a place at the fair. This means an increase of six percent compared to the previous year. With regard to the booked space, growth can also be seen – currently of eight percent.
This year there will be another platform for indie games at gamescom. The central component of the Indie Village will also be the already confirmed 1,500 square meter Indie Arena Booth in 2020, where numerous new indie games will be presented. The fair will take place from August 25th to 29th, 2020.
