ALDI PC Medion Erazer X87096
Of the Gaming PC Medion Erazer X87096 has earned the label "Gaming". The reference to "high-end" may be true for average consumers, but for hardware connoisseurs from the gaming scene, this is a bit over the top. Nevertheless, the price of 1499 euros for the Medion Erazer X87096 seems quite appropriate. The following hardware is in the game PC (in brackets the current lowest prices at price comparison websites):
CPU: Intel Core i7-9700 (about 350 Euro)
RAM: 16GB DDR4-2666 RAM (about 60 Euro)
Graphics card: MSI GeForce RTX 2070 Ventus (about 480 Euro)
SSD: 1000GB with PCIe connection (about 100 Euro)
Case: In Win 301, possibly adapted replica (about 85 Euro)
Windows 10 Home included
How much does a similar PC cost if you assemble it yourself? The sum of the prices of the components already mentioned is 1075 euros. For a power supply we use another 60 euros. About the motherboard are no details known – but we expect at least 75 €, because you have to pay this, if you look for motherboards with at least the Medion PC offered selection of USB ports. In total, we come to 1200 euros without Windows. The surcharge for the concept "complete PC" is so even if power supply, motherboard and CPU cooler are not as cheap as our templates, quite neat. On the credit side, you can of course enjoy some service benefits with the complete PC. If you can or want to build yourself, but the cheaper way, especially since you would choose in games a Core i7-9700 hardly outnumbered Ryzen 5 3600, which costs less than 200 euros, and thus saves 150 euros.
ALDI notebook Medion Erazer X17803
At the Gaming notebook Medion Erazer X17803 It looks in terms of price-performance again very good: The 17.3-inch notebook offers for the price of 1699 euros in addition to a 144-Hz Full HD display Intel Core i7-9750H with 12 threads, an Nvidia GeForce RTX 2060, 2000 gigabytes of hard disk space plus two M.2 SSDs with 512 gigabytes capacity as main drives. There are also 32 gigabytes of RAM. If you look for notebooks with the same CPU and graphics card in the current notebook market, then only half as much storage space is available for almost 1700 euros, both for the RAM and for the SSD and the hard disk. The cheapest current notebook with the same CPU and graphics card and a terabyte SSD storage costs 1740 euros, but has only 16 gigabytes of RAM and no hard drive. Therefore, the notebook is for those who definitely want to put on a notebook (to the Advantages and disadvantages of gaming notebooks see also our notebook special from September) and also looking for a lot of space, the Medion Erazer X17803 worth a look. An alternative for 1700 euros would be that Asus ROG Strix G G731GW-EV118: Thanks to the RTX 2070 it is faster in games than the Medion notebook – but missing Windows and the hard drive, the SSD offers only 480 gigabytes of storage space, and RAM is only one module with gigabytes of capacity available (a second module can be used for Easily retrofit 30 euros).
