Original message from July 28th:
Last night, Blizzard developers launched a bunch of hotfixes onto World of Warcraft's live servers (buy now for 14.54 €) played. Many of the adjustments weaken certain classes, items and essences in PvP. Withdraw soul For example, warlocks in PvP only provide damage absorption of four instead of eight percent. The Azerite Perk Focus is 75 percent weaker in PvP than 50 percent in PvE. Likewise, the effectiveness of the Persistent Psychic Tanks gem in PvP has been reduced by 70 percent instead of 50 percent.
In the following you will read the English patch notes until the German release. Hotfixes are updates that are made on the server side without the need to download new data. Some of the changes below will take effect as soon as Blizzard implements them, while others will only take effect after an announced realm restart. Please note that some problems cannot be solved without a client-side patch.

- Developer Comments: This change was inadvertently introduced with the release of 8.3.7. That was not intended, so we take it back.

- Classes
- Sorcerer
- (After server restarts in each region) Drain Soul now grants 4% shield damage (was 8%) in PvP.
- Developer Comment: The Drain Soul shield can still be a maximum of 10% of the warlock's maximum health.
- destruction
- (After server restarts in each region) The effectiveness of the Azerite Focus Focus is now reduced by 75% in PvP (was 50%).
- (After server restarts in each region) Drain Soul now grants 4% shield damage (was 8%) in PvP.

- (After server restarts in each region) The effect of Persistent Mental Mail is now reduced by 70% in PvP (was 50%).
- Azerite essences
- (After server restarts in each region) Vitality Link health transfer reduced by 30% in PvP.
- Corrupted items
- (After server restarts in each regionThe Corrupting Truth Corruption effect no longer reduces the cooldown of the PvP Talent Medallion of the Gladiator.
- Developer Comment: These PvP-specific changes are designed to reduce the number of overly long arena matches at high levels.
WoW Classic
- Fixed an issue where not all players in Stormwind and Orgrimmar would receive the Dragon Slayer's Battlecry buff when dispensing Onyxia's head or Nefarian's head on their realm or related layers.
