CD Projekt has announced that GOG Galaxy 2.0 now also offers official integration for the Epic Games Store. Previously, this was only possible via a community plugin. You can now view your games in the Epic Games Store in the all-in-one launcher and start them right away. Other features are also on the way.
The all-in-one launcher GOG Galaxy 2.0 from CD Projekt now also offers official integration for the Epic Games Store. Until now, users could only link the platform's titles to GOG Galaxy 2.0 using a plug-in. Incidentally, the Epic Games team is only the second partner to allow official integration. Links to Steam, Origin, Uplay or the PlayStation Network continue to work via a community-created plugin. Only Microsoft has been offering official integration for GOG Galaxy 2.0 for some time now with Xbox Live.
"We are delighted that Epic Games Store integration has found its way to GOG Galaxy 2.0. It is another important step to tear down the walls between PC stores to provide a unified experience for gamers who want to manage their library of PC games no matter where they bought their game. "
Thanks to the integration, users can start their games from the Epic Games Store directly via GOG Galaxy 2.0. The CD Projekt team has set itself the task of uniting all platforms under one roof. In addition to all your games, the launcher also shows the seasons, achievements and other statistics. The developers are working on further features, with which you can, for example, see the online status of your friends on all platforms via GOG Galaxy 2.0. Epic Games CEO Tim Sweeney also made indirect comments about the new integration via Twitter.
