Google Stadia: Games can now also be streamed on iPhone and iPad – Gamesaktuell
More than a year after the launch of Google Stadia, the streaming service can now also be used on iPhone and iPad. However, there is initially no separate app. Instead, users have to stream their games through the Safari browser. A solution that Microsoft will soon be offering with xCloud and Amazon Luna. If you now want to use Google Stadia on an Apple device with the latest iOS version, you have to go to the website "stadia.google.comHere you can log in with your account and stream your games as usual.
If you would like to have faster access to the website in the future, you can create a link that can then be started – similar to an app – directly from the home screen. Due to the strict guidelines of Apple, it is currently extremely difficult for Google Stadia or xCloud to offer their own app. Now the providers take the detour via the browser. There is already an app for Google Stadia in the App Store – but this can only be used for account management. Competitor Microsoft wants to offer xCloud for iOS in early 2021. The offer is part of the Xbox Game Pass Ultimate.
