At this year’s E3, the developer studio Eidos Montreal announced the new superhero game Guardians of the Galaxy. This should already be on October 26, 2021 for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series S / X. But what happens after the release? Can fans already be prepared for additional content in the form of DLCs or similar expansions? Mary DeMarle from Eidos Montreal gave the very clear answer in a question and answer session.

Accordingly, the team made a conscious decision to forego DLC and concentrate on developing a self-contained game. The same applies to the microtransactions, which are often controversially discussed among fans.

“There will be no DLC for this game. There will also be no microtransactions. It is very important for us that the players can experience everything about the game and see what it has to offer from day one. So they can from Get all the outfits that are available to start with. You can find all of the skills as you progress through the game. It’s all there. “

It is therefore certain that Guardians of the Galaxy will not have any content for which you have to pay additional money. Incidentally, a fully licensed soundtrack awaits you in the superhero game, according to Eidos Montreal. It is not yet known exactly which songs await you. But the song in the recently released trailer (“I Need a Hero” by Bonnie Tyler) could at least be an indication of the music genre.
