With the new update of Guild Wars 2 – Champions: Chapter 1 – there is the new Dragonslayer Mastery. This gives us bonuses in new dragon aid missions, but also access to special weapons. We'll tell you how good the Far Eastern war tools look!
In Guild Wars 2 we can throw ourselves into so-called dragon aid missions as part of the Icebrood saga. The update "Champions: Chapter 1" deals with the invasion of the destroyers under ancient dragon Primordus, who wants to lay the world of Tyria to rubble again. Our brave heroes naturally face his monsters – and thus secure rewards. While you may be lucky enough to loot the new Vulcan Stormcaller weapons, there is also a set that you can secure for yourself without a random factor: the dragon slayer weapons.

Is that a gun design from Cantha?
The design of the new set is clearly based on Far Eastern designs. Like the staffs of Buddhist monks (so-called khakkhara) jingling rings are used in many weapons in the dragon slayer set while ornamental tassels and cloud engravings complete the look. We are excited to see what optical subtleties and effects the weapons will have when they are completed!
Where can you get dragon slayer weapons?
The new dragon slayer mastery is required for these fancy items. This not only gives you advantages in helping the dragon missions, but also unlocks recipes for purchase from two new NPCs in the Eye of the North. If you get this, you are allowed to make the elegant weapons with the typical professions such as armorer or hunter. For this you need, among other things, fused gemstones and the new material Prismatic Crystalfrom which you Prismatic Bars power.
How much do dragon slayer weapons cost?
Three fused gemstones, 30 prismatic crystals and weapon-specific components such as ax handles or sword blades are required for each weapon (no matter if two-handed, one-handed or off-hand) You process the crystals together with orichalcum bars, mithril bars and ectoplasm balls Prismatic Bars. You can get Prismatizit crystals once through the achievement Dragonslayer Armorer, who rewards unlocking the weapon recipes with Prismatizit and Fused Gemstones, and daily through dragon aid missions – for three missions you get a total of 6 crystals. In addition, you can get a mining site for your home instance (for 50 gold and 270,000 karma) that spits out 1-2 crystals once a day. You can find a list of all the dragon slayer recipes on the official GW2 Wiki!
