With the help of a new mod, Half-Life: Alyx can now be played without a VR headset. However, the non-VR version of the shooter is still not entirely error-free. Nevertheless, the title should be able to be completed. A Valve manager was already certain recently that there will soon be a mod for it.
A few weeks after the release of Half-Life: Alyx, a first mod has now been released that makes the shooter from Valve playable without VR. It was only a matter of time before a hobby developer made a corresponding mod available. A few weeks ago, Robin Walker from Valve assumed that sooner or later a mod would lead to a non-VR version of Half-Life: Alyx.
So far, the mod should not be quite perfect and cause some difficulties in some areas. However, the shooter should be able to be played through to the end. You can currently find the file at GitHub download. You can get all the installation details in one YouTube video check. Valve himself is currently developing the Half-Life: Alyx level editor. However, it is still unclear what scope the new feature will have. The release remains unknown. Our test on Half-Life: Alyx can be found in the video below the message.
