Happy Birthday, Pokémon Go – Gen 6 starter and mega-evolutions

from Susanne Braun
As usual, the creators of Pokémon Go celebrate the birthday of the AR pocket monster game with an anniversary graphic that is packed with details – these artworks usually indicate what content will be released in the new "life" year of Pokémon Go. It is the same this time, because you can see the starters from Generation 6, Fynx, Igamaro and Froxy as well as the mega-evolutions from Lucario, Glurak and Mewtu Y. Victini and Team Rocket are also honored to perform.

It has become a tradition that Pokémon Go developers celebrate the anniversary of the popular pocket monster collectible game with the release of an artwork that reveals a little more about what will happen next year. And of course it's the same for Pokémon Go's fourth birthday. In a contribution to the upcoming, virtual Pokémon Go Fest there was also the picture of the 4th anniversary of PoGo, which was crammed with Pokémon and trainers. And that in turn means that we can expect a lot from Pokémon Go in the coming year.

So the mega-evolutions were already hinted at in the context of Pokémon Presents, but now you can admire Lucario (above the blue trainer), Charizard (via Arlo) and even Mewtwo Y (at Zekrom and Reshiram) in their mega-evolved splendor. Of course, in addition to all the members of Team Go Rockt (Cliff feeds the Despotar, Arlo is to the right of the ball pit in the middle, and a disgruntled-looking Sierra is walking behind Candela in the picture on the right), the balloon, which has been hinted at recently, can also be seen (left next to the logo). Of course, Giovanni can not be ragged; he and his snobilikat are standing in the background with the blue trainer at the Crypto-PokéStop.

Of course, the appearance of the generation 6 starters is also interesting: Froxy sits between the feet of the blue trainer, Igamaro holds on to the sweater of the red trainer. And Feuerfuchs Fynx hides together with Victini in the Pikachu balloons on the right. Pokémon Go fans and players will have all kinds of new content in 2020 and 2021 – we're definitely looking forward to it!
