As the release of Cyberpunk 2077 is getting closer and closer, some gamers in this country naturally ask themselves: Will our gaming experience be unabridged? Those responsible at the USK have now published their verdict.

The developers at CD Projekt are anything but squeamish when it comes to designing their game. The Witcher series is full of taboo topics, gallons of blood fountains and sex scenes en masse. That shouldn't change with the genre change in Cyberpunk 2077. Because all the trailers, previews and interviews shown point to a world that one should perhaps not explore as a small child. Logically, we in Germany have been waiting eagerly for the judgment of the entertainment software self-control (USK), because the new release in November is also getting closer. In this country, the USK provides games and game trailers with age recommendations, which in some cases can even lead to the content of games being cut (to get a milder rating). But don't worry, we'll be brief: Cyberpunk 2077 appears uncut in Germany.

Cyberpunk 2077 is suitable for players aged 18 and over

The developers formally celebrate the USK rating in a press release: "We are delighted to be able to offer our German fans an uncut version of Cyberpunk 2077. This way we ensure that they can experience and enjoy the game exactly as our designers and authors had always planned.", says Jakub Kutrzuba, the lead release manager of CD PROJEKT RED. The "18+" rating already existed for The Witcher 1 and The Witcher 3 – only Part 2 was able to miraculously save itself from the red color and bears the blue "16+" seal.

Cyberpunk 2077 (buy now for € 58.19) will be released on November 19, 2020 for PC, PS4 and Xbox One, while next-gen versions for PS5 and the new Xbox have already been confirmed. A version for Google Stadia is also planned.
