from Norbert Rätz
Last week, the Heroes of the Storm developers clarified several interesting questions from the community in an AMA (Ask Me Anything) at Reddit, which we have summarized below for you.

After the Tassadar rework and 2020 season 2 are live, the Heroes of the Storm development team has come together despite corona virus restrictions to talk about upcoming changes for the Nexus. Below you read the summary of the highlights of the Reddit AMA with Adam Z. Jackson, Andrew Kinabrew, Brett Crawford, David P Warner, Dorothy Sheng, Jeff Beaudoin, Joshua Kofalt, Kaeo Milker, Kevin Gu, Kyle Dates, Sergey Morozov and Taylor Hankins.

  • The developers have no plans to publish roadmaps because they are too committed and announcements may not be possible.
  • A new hero will be unveiled soon, a variety of hero reworks are planned, and there will be new awesome skins.
  • None of the heroes currently under development are classified as support, but things could change.
  • The team is still not sure what to do to improve the gameplay of the ghost mines, and there are currently no plans to bring the card back.
  • Towers of Mischief started out as an Arathi Basin, but the developers couldn't figure out how to get it to work properly. If you look closely at the towers, they are very similar to the main areas of the Arathi Basin.
  • They tried to find a visual effect for Kaelt'has' living bomb radius, but each solution turned out to be too conspicuous and disturbed the clarity on the battlefield.
  • The team could experiment with new buffs to make AI games more interesting, such as increasing the health and strength of the AI by a certain percentage.
  • There will be some changes to the tower aggro in the near future, for example to fix bugs in Azmodan's summons.
  • The Invisible Horse Mount will return in the future.
  • The D.Va revision is still in progress.
  • The developers are well aware that Ragnaros needs a new skin, but unfortunately this will not happen this year because you are currently testing what you will do in 2021.
  • The new Nexus anomaly increases game time by approximately 1 minute, and there are no major changes in win rates.
  • A new balance patch with corrections for the new anomaly and some heroes is planned for the near future.
  • Battle Passes are a cool idea, but the feature takes too much development and UI work to implement; you prefer to concentrate on other game content for the time being.
  • The Heroes team believes the number of enemy control effects in the game is reasonable.
  • Seasonal rewards could come back next season.
  • Overall, the team is happy with Tassadar and the makeover, but they currently have lower win rates than desired. So expect buffs soon.
  • We haven't seen any new banners in the game in a long time, and the developers are discussing how to get more out.
  • It is possible that in 2021 we will get the death knight skin for Arthas that was removed before the beta.
