For the PC version of Horizon Zero Dawn Update 1.03 is available for download. A few days after the Release of the patch 1.02 the developers are addressing further bug fixes and optimizations with the latest update. In a current Reddit thread, Guerrilla Games announced the patch notes – and thus the list of all changes and innovations. The focus is once again primarily on error corrections and the investigation of individual causes of crashes.
The patch notes for the Horizon Zero Dawn PC Update 1.03 show, among other things, that the developers have fixed a problem with the graphics memory that could lead to instability over a certain period of time. The action role-playing game should no longer crash if the AI opponent aims from an invalid position. Horizon Zero Dawn should no longer crash even if you put the game in the main menu on another screen that has different DPI settings. (buy now for 24.09 €)
Game crashes during the startup process should also no longer occur. This was the last time there were problems with an incorrect memory allocation. The patch notes for update 1.03 also state that Aloy should now develop properly. For some players, she remained a child and did not become an adult Aloy. On the other hand, the developers promise optimizations for 4K scaling. Here the game should now render properly in 4K from the start. The frame rate limiter should now also work more accurately.
