The Plant Combat Pokémon Viridium is one of the simplest raid bosses on Tier 5 in Pokémon GO. You can defeat it with the right preparation even in a team of two coaches. We tell you in our guide which counter-Pokémon you use and what else you have to pay attention to.

Although the Tier 5 raids are generally among the more sophisticated content of Pokémon GO, the bosses differ in difficulty so much that you can defeat individual Pokémon even in a duo. The Pokémon Viridium, which belongs to the double-type plant / fight, is one of these easier challenges. If you provide appropriate counterattacks, Viridium will be defeated in no time on the ground – we'll explain based on an article by PokemongohubWhat you have to pay attention to.

Raid vs Viridium – General info and attacks

Basically you should consider the following details for the fight against Viridium:

  • Viridium is expected to have a Raidboss of 39,601 Raidboss WP.
  • You can catch the Plant / Battle Pokémon with the following WP values: 1,649-1,727 WP (level 20) or 2,061-2,159 WP (with level 25 weather boost)
  • Viridium receives as a Pokémon type plant / fight a weather boost through sunny and cloudy weather.
  • Viridium reacts weakly to attacks of the type flight, psycho, fairy, fire, poison and ice.
  • If you have the best flight counterpokemon listed below, you can defeat Viridium in the two-player team. All other players should play in groups of five to six coaches against the Raid Pokémon.

Viridium also uses a selection of attacks in the Raid:

  • Ruckzuckhieb (normal attack, type Normal)
  • Zen headbutt (normal attack, type Psycho)
  • Leaf blade (Charge Attack, Plant Type)
  • Melee (Charge Attack, Type Fight)
  • Stone edge (charge attack, type of rock)

The only thing that can be dangerous to you from these attacks is the fact that the counter-Pokémon that are most suitable for the fight against Viridium belong to the type of flight – and Flight Pokémon are sensitive to rock attacks. Otherwise, Viridium has a strong defense, which can cost you the crucial seconds on the raid clock in case of doubt.

Raid vs Viridium – The weather effects

The weather takes – as always in Pokémon GO – in the raid against Viridium influence on the fighting. In doing so, you have to adjust to the following possible effects or make use of them yourself:

  • Sunny: Boost for Fire Counter, Boost for Viridium's Plant Attack Deciduous Blade
  • Partly Cloudy: Boost for Viridium's Attacks Ruckzuckhieb (Normal) and Steinkante (Rock)
  • Cloudy: Boost for poison and fairy counterattack, Boost for Viridium's Combat Attack Melee
  • Windig: Boost for aviation and psycho counterattack, Boost for Viridium's psycho attack Zen head thrust
  • Rain: no effect
  • Snow: Boost for ice counter
  • Mist: no effect
