Indiana Jones 5 will not launch until 2022. But that doesn't mean that director Steven Spielberg is staging the film again.
The corona crisis is having a major impact on the film industry. Not only are many cinemas closed and therefore the start of films has to be postponed, some film studios are also postponing the production of new films. So happen at Indiana Jones 5.
Indy has to wait
Actually, Indiana Jones' latest adventure should have hit theaters on July 9, 2021. Filming should start this summer. However, this is delayed due to the Corona crisis. As Disney announced, we won't be seeing Indiana Jones 5 until July 29, 2022.
It was only announced a few weeks ago that director Steven Spielberg no longer directed the project. Obviously there were no scheduling reasons for this, because Spielberg will still not turn the strip. Disney is still in negotiations with James Mangold (Logan), who is to take over from Spielberg as director.
What the latest adventure by archaeologist Indiana Jones is about this time is not known. However, several scripts had to be written before the suitable story was found.
