Indiana Jones: Lucasfilm could decide about Xbox exclusivity – Gamesaktuell

A new game is coming to Indiana Jones and fans of the whip-wielding adventurer are very excited to see what awaits us. Will it be a shooter? After all, the game comes from the Wolfenstein studio MachineGames. Or do we expect something more in the direction of the Uncharted or Tomb Raider games? It will be a while before we learn more about the game. But there is also one question in the room: is it an exclusive title for the Xbox Series X / S?

Is Indy coming to the PS5?

So the new Indiana Jones game comes from MachineGames, a studio that belongs to Bethesda. And Bethesda is being bought by Microsoft. This has already led to discussions about whether the upcoming Bethesda games like The Elder Scrolls 6 and Starfield will only be available for PC and Xbox. An Indiana Jones from Bethesda could also become an Xbox exclusive game.

Insider and journalist Jez Corden believes, however, that it doesn't have to be that way. After all, Indiana Jones isn't a brand owned by Bethesda or Microsoft. The game is produced under license from Lucasfilm Games. And with that, Lucasfilm Games could also decide on which platforms the game will be published. It may have been part of the contract to bring Indiana Jones onto the Playstation market. Of course, that's not certain. Sony has not yet commented on the situation, and Microsoft and Bethesda have not made any statements about a possible exclusive deal either.

That said, we'll have to wait until we learn more about the Indiana Jones game. The chances that Playstation owners will also enjoy the title are not that bad.
