Rockstar Games is said to be working on a GTA Remastered Trilogy – and to reissue three parts of the popular action series. As Kotaku reported a few days ago, the trilogy includes new editions of GTA 3, San Andreas and Vice City. According to the information, Rockstar Games uses the Unreal Engine as the basic framework to make the GTA parts shine in new splendor. It remains to be seen whether the three games will be created from scratch. Rather, Kotau reports that the graphic updates should offer a mix of new and old assets – and thus maintain the flair of the original games.

Other sources have meanwhile “confirmed” the new editions of GTA. The insider Tom Henderson, known above all for his information and leaks about the Battlefield series, reports on Twitter that the information is correct. “I didn’t mention the GTA Remastered Trilogy again because everything I’ve heard about it has already been reported,” writes the industry expert. He only has a different opinion on the release date.

According to him, the GTA Remastered Trilogy will be released “sometime in 2022”. It is not known where the information comes from. Kotaku reported a release this fall – either October or November. It remains to be seen whether and which information is true. Rockstar Games has not yet announced a GTA Remastered Trilogy.
