The rumor mill is bubbling: Apparently, a development team at Electronic Arts is working on a new Star Wars game that is to carry the iconic "Knights of the Old Republic" series into the here and now. An alleged inside source speaks of a remake. However, a second source claims that this is more of a reinterpretation to bring the stories of the two games into line with the current Star Wars canon.
As early as 2015, there was a rumor that organic goods were on one Remake of the RPG classic Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic would work. A year later it was said that the project had been stopped for the time being – after that it was quiet about the new edition. Until now.
Because again there are several sources by Cinelux, which from time to time for rumors and confirmed leaks (about the now officially announced Obi-Wan series for Disney + (via GamesRadar)) are good, have a say. According to the alleged insiders, a development team at Electronic Arts is working on a new Star Wars game that will carry the iconic "Knights of the Old Republic" series into the here and now. One source speaks of a real remake (like in Warcraft 3: Reforged).
A second person describes the project as a kind of reinterpretation, with which the stories of the two games are to be brought into line with the current Star Wars canon (roughly comparable to the last part of "God of War"). Unfortunately, there are no further details about the project, nor is there any official confirmation from EA.
At least for us it is clear: Whether remake or reinterpretation – we would take a new Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic at any time. You too? Let us know in the comments!
