The Star Wars: The Clone Wars series is drawing to a close and a rumor about The Mandalorian leads to the question of whether the two series may be related.
How does the series end? Star Wars The Clone Wars? We'll know soon. And maybe we see an interesting connection to Star Wars: The Mandalorian.
Attention! Here are potential spoilers!
Star Wars always ended with a little glimmer of hope. Even dark films like Episode 3 or Episode 5 still raised hope with the last scene that the good will triumph after all. Will this also be the case with Clone Wars? Rumors speak of us seeing Ahsoka Tano in the second season of Star Wars: The Mandalorian. If so, why?
It would be quite conceivable that Ahsoka Tano saved "Baby Yoda" as a youth from death when Anakin carried out the "cleansing" of the Jedi order. The child the Mandalorian picks up to protect in the Star Wars: The Mandalorian series is 50 years old at the time of The Mandalorian. So it was already born at the time of the clone wars. It is therefore possible that Ahsoka saved this gifted child from the Jedi Academy and hid and protected it all the time. That would explain why she wasn't participating in the rebels' fight against the empire.
But the remnants of the empire later got wind of this powerful being. So the Mandalorian was sent to steal it. The plan worked. But Ahsoka went in search of "Baby Yoda" and followed the Mandalorian's trail. So we could have seen her in episode 5 of season one of The Mandalorian. In the end, a mysterious figure appears who discovers the body of the bounty hunter Fennec Shand and we have not yet found out who this was. Perhaps it is Ahsoka who is on the Mandalorian's trail. In season 2 she meets him and finds her protege, the child.
We'll see if that's really the case in the final of Star Wars: The Clone Wars.
