Kingdom Hearts: Tetsuya Nomura suggests even more games for 2020
A total of three Kingdom Hearts games have already been confirmed for release this year. While the Re: Mind DLC for Part 3 is already available, Dark Road and Melody of Memory are two new projects in the starting blocks. According to Tetsuya Nomura, that's not all. According to a current roadmap, two more games could be presented this year.
It looks like Kingdom Hearts fans will get even more announcements this year. Just this week, Kingdom Hearts: Melody of Memory, a new rhythm game for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch, was launched and will be released later this year. The Kingdom Hearts: Dark Road mobile game has also recently been released. The title will be available for iOS and Android from June 22, 2020. However, Tetsuya Nomura is now hinting at other projects that are likely to be unveiled soon.
For the current "Kingdom Hearts 2020 Trailer", the Game Director on Twitter advised that fans should pay attention to the text at the beginning of the video. Here you can see a roadmap for a short moment, on which the logos for the already released Kingdom Hearts 3 Re: Mind as well as Dark Road and Melody of Memory can be seen. In addition, there are two open positions for which there is no logo. Square Enix and Disney could therefore have two unannounced Kingdom Hearts projects in the pipeline this year.
Tetsuya Nomura calls this the second phase of Kingdom Hearts. We don't yet know which games this will be. In recent years, numerous spinoffs have been published on a wide variety of platforms. We will keep you up to date with news here.
