Kojima Productions has confirmed the development of a new project. The team is currently looking for reinforcements for the studio in Tokyo. The creators have not yet revealed any details about the new game. Recently there have been rumors that Hideo Kojima wants to work on a horror game. A confirmation is still pending here.

Hideo Kojima and his team from Kojima Productions have officially announced on Twitter that the development of the next project has started. In 2019, Death Stranding the studio's final game released. After separating from Konami in 2015, this was the first project as an independent company. In the past, Hideo Kojima's team became famous primarily for Metal Gear Solid. However, no further information about the project emerges from the studio's current tweet.

At the moment, the makers are looking for reinforcements for the next project in the developer studio in Tokyo. It's no surprise, of course, that Kojima Productions is working on a new project after the success of Death Stranding. In the past few months, there has been constant speculation about what Hideo Kojima's next game will be about. In addition to a successor to Death Stranding, some rumors about a horror game have also emerged. In July 2020, among other things, it was reported that Hideo Kojima is said to have already had talks with cartoonist Junji Ito. At least it wouldn't be the development studio's first horror project.

Kojima Productions worked with Konami on Silent Hills, which was later discontinued. In advance, P.T. also released a short teaser that showed players what a horror game from Kojima Productions could look like. It is still unclear when the first information about the project will be available. The release will probably be some time in coming.
