Maria "Remilia" Creveling was the first e-sportswoman to make it into the US league of the MOBA League of Legends, Now, however, her roommate Richard Lewis announced on Twitter that she died unexpectedly at the age of 24.
E-sportswoman died suddenly
According to Richard Lewis, Maria Creveling passed away last Friday, December 27th. She fell asleep peacefully. It is not known whether she suffered from an illness or what exactly caused the death. Richard Lewis asks that you express any condolence requests in a respectful manner. Maria Creveling was never someone who liked to be in the spotlight.
In 2015, the transsexual woman managed to help the team at the League of Legends professional team Misfits (later Renegades) as a support player to get a place in the US professional league LCS. This made her the first e-athlete to fight a match in this league. However, since she suffered from stress, anxiety and other psychological problems, a month later she was no longer part of the team at her own request.
