First details about Far Cry 6 were revealed before the official unveiling in the PlayStation Store. Among other things, Giancarlo Esposito will actually be seen as a villain in the new branch. The release and the first details of the story also emerge from the leak. Far Cry 6 will be released in February 2021. In addition, free next-gen upgrades are guaranteed.
A leak in the PlayStation Store has officially confirmed the development of Far Cry 6. In recent weeks there have been rumors about the existence of the title. The game would have been presented to the public as part of Ubisoft Forward by Sunday at the latest. As already speculated a few days ago, Giancarlo Esposito will also play an important role in Far Cry 6. The actor from series like Breaking Bad and The Mandalorian will appear as a dicator of Yara in history. Yara is a fictional country that has many similarities to Cuba.

As a player, you will take on the role of Dani Rojas – a local guerrilla fighter who wants to take on the regime. In addition to dictator Anton Castillo, his son Diego is also involved in the machinations of the country. According to the description in the PlayStation Store, fans can look forward to the "largest playground" in the series with the new spin-off. In Yara you will find jungle areas, beaches and of course cities like Esperanza (capital of the country).
And the release was already revealed in advance by the leak. Far Cry 6 will be commercially available on February 18, 2021. Purchases of the PS4 version can also enjoy a free PS5 upgrade. It is very likely that Ubisoft will also offer this offer for Xbox One and Xbox Series X implementations. Further details will be available on Sunday at 9 p.m. at Ubisoft Forward.
