LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga was announced last year. Now the leading Lucasfilm Games producer, Craig Derrick, spoke for the first time in an interview with StarWars.com about the numerous characters that will appear in the game. The sheer number at least impresses fans of the block adaptations of the film classics.
The latest entry in the LEGO Star Wars series was on the announced last year E3 and made the mouth water in the mouth of the fans. The reason for this: the new game called The Skywalker Saga is supposed to cover all nine Star Wars films and more turn out to be bigger and more ambitious than all previous parts. Of course, with nine films there is a correspondingly large grid of characters, so it is exciting to know which familiar faces you will encounter in the games. How many characters have made it into the game is at least approximately known now.
In a recent from StarWars.com conducted interview with Lucasfilm Games managing producer Craig Derrick, he revealed the first details about the scope of the character selection. According to him, we should be able to find an impressive 500 characters known from the films in the new game, and a large part of them are even playable. "There are almost 500 characters in this game, a large part of which are playable. When choosing characters for such a big game, we watched every movie in the saga and tried to say" yes "as often as possible. It depends on the storytelling and the specific roles of the characters in the quests and in the course of the game. Of course, we have almost all of the favorite heroes and villains from the films, a lot of supporting characters and even a few surprises. "
We can therefore be excited to see which figures we will see in the new LEGO Star Wars and which of them will allow us to dive into the universe ourselves. The game is slated for PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch later this year.
