For the online team fighting game Heroes of the Storm (buy now for € 7.99) Another update has been released that, in addition to general and hero fixes, brings a number of balancing changes for a total of 19 heroes across all new roles, including the last Hero Deathwing, which many fans thought was too strong.

In the following you read the patch notes including the developer comments. Hotfixes are updates that are made on the server side without the need to download new data. Some of the changes listed below will take effect once Blizzard implements them, while others will only take effect after an announced realm restart. Please note that some problems cannot be solved without a client-side patch.

Anub'arak

talents

Developer comment: We continue to support Anub'arak's rarely chosen talents so that he has more options to choose from, especially in the late game.

Up

Arthas

talents

Developer comment: Okay, Kyle and Garrett, we understand. Sorry we took that away from you. Here you have it again.

talents

Developer comment: Cho be stronger.

front breaker

Chen

talents

Developer comment: Chen's talents are fairly balanced, but at most ranks there is a talent that is chosen less often than its alternatives. We're significantly strengthening these less popular talents, so hopefully players will be encouraged to play new styles with the Pandaren Brewmaster.

Up

Deathwing

Values and skills

talents

Developer comment: Deathwing is already much better balanced, but still a little too powerful, so we further weaken it. This time, however, we are missing some improvements, especially in his world breaker form and some of his talents.

Up

Thrall

talents

Developer comment Thunder rumbles were initially a bit too low. In the future, talent should be able to keep up with Thrall's other powerful options at this rank.

Abathur

Values and skills

talents

Developer comment: We are strengthening some of his weaker talents and also want to try to put Abathur's terror in the spotlight a little more. If Abathur's enemies don't care about them, they now deal bonus damage to buildings. Clever Abathur players who keep track of the map and the course of the game can benefit greatly from it.

healer

Auriel

talents

Developer comment: It was clear to us that the changes to Auriel's revival would have a big impact, and on the whole everything worked well. The ability is now chosen much more often and, to our delighted surprise, has no much higher victory rate than Crystal Aegis. While we love this epic, powerful moment that the current version of the heroic ability offers, we also understand that it can be frustrating for opponents. To make it easier to counter them, we are reducing their range and increasing their mission time so that opponents can interrupt them more easily. Players will now have to think much better with Auriel if they have enough time to revive an important ally that has just been eliminated.

Up

Kharazim

Values and skills

talents

Developer comment: Play Kharazim! Air Ally is really cool now. So play that too!

Up

Stukov

talents

Developer comment: Immune explosion has always been a bit unfavorable because the depth arm had to be stopped prematurely. In order to highlight the strengths of the talent, we are giving the detonation considerable damage and a longer silence effect, so that you can more easily cope with the fact that the explosion of Stukov's depth arm disappears. If Stukov players detonate their depth arm just as their opponents are leaving their area, they should be able to benefit greatly from this talent.

Up

Whitemane

talents

Developer comment: White Streak healed auto attacks more than intended due to a bug related to Holy Wand. To compensate for the bug fixes, we are strengthening our talent.

Up

melee Assassins

Maiev

talents

Developer comment: Maiev spreads fear and terror in the hands of experienced players, but we don't want to stop ourselves from strengthening some of her talents. Some of the functionality of the Iron Grip and Avenger Daggers doesn't feel particularly impressive, so we're giving them clearer and more useful bonuses so they're easier to use.

Up

Samuro

talents

Developer comment: Statistically speaking, Samuro's revision worked very well. His talents are chosen more evenly and have more balanced victory rates. We also believe that the changes have removed some frustrating moments. Because we're doing a few bug fixes that affect some talents, we want to hold back on the first few changes and watch the results. Until then, we want to strengthen some weaker talents that shouldn't be affected by these bug fixes.

Up

Ranged Assassins

Azmodan

Values and skills

talents

Developer comment: We've been pretty happy with Azmodan's talent diversity for a while. Unfortunately, he lagged a bit behind other heroes. We're strengthening his stats and skills, as well as a few of his weaker talents, so players will prefer Lord of Sin back on their team.

Up

Mephisto

talents

Developer comment: We have been much more satisfied with Mephisto's talents since the last changes. Only malicious intent and animosity were a little too weak, which is why they are improved somewhat.

Up

Nazeebo

talents

Developer comment: Jap.

Up

Orphea

talents

Developer comment: We want to fix some issues related to Orphea's current talent tree. First, we remove the necessary interaction between ancestral strength and horror and instead give ancestral strength a more reliable way to slow down enemies. We're also empowering Growing Terror to become the primary talent for e-builds, and lending a hand to Lurking Terror. Ideally, Lurking Terror can now be used in a unique way to prepare Q and W hits against enemies far from Orphea. This works particularly well in combination with insatiable people, because Happs can then be used quickly twice in a row.

Up

Probius

talents

Developer comment: Since its release, we've largely left the functionality of Probius's talents untouched, so let's make some changes to its design. The tower defense and particle accelerator talents should feel a little more important in their respective builds. We are also removing Repulsor and integrating the way the talent works in interference because it alone was not enough of an incentive.

Up

Sergeant Hammer

talents

Developer comment: Both the barricade and impulse detonation were chosen extremely rarely, so we're strengthening these talents so that players will hopefully want to try them out more often.
