Memory size on your hard drive at the level of current titles

from Dominik Zwingmann
The memory size of Cyberpunk 2077 will be at the level of current games. Fans don't have to worry that the title will take up over 200GB of hard drive. The CD Projekt Red community chief has now confirmed this via Twitter. The guesswork started shortly after the Nvidia presentation, which showed new scenes from the game with ray tracing.

CD Projekt Red has announced that Cyberpunk 2077 will not be a storage monster on your hard drive. Instead, all players can count on a memory size that is on the level of current titles. The trigger for the team's statement was the presentation of the new RTX graphics cards from Nvidia on Tuesday. There they talked about the upcoming challenge for SSD hard drives, which in the future will have to work with next-gen games with a size of sometimes 200GB.

Because the screenshot in the presentation was from Cyberpunk 2077, fans took this as proof that the CD Projekt Red title is also around 200GB in size. The team used the moment directly to point out that we will soon receive the system requirements for Cyberpunk 2077. As part of the event, a new trailer for the game was released showing ray tracing support with the new Ampere GPU. We have included the video for you here below.

We give all readers daily free news, articles, guides, videos and podcasts on their favorite games. So far we have financed this site through advertising and kept it as free of clickbaits or paid items as possible, but since COVID-19 this has become increasingly difficult. Many companies are cutting or cutting their advertising budgets for 2020. Budgets that we unfortunately have to rely on if we want to continue to offer PC games free of charge as usual in the future.

For this reason we turn to you now. As a PC Games supporter, you can support us so that we can continue to offer our content in the usual form free of charge without introducing a paywall or publishing clickbait news like "And you won't believe what happened next …" . Every contribution, large or small, is valuable.
