Many Call of Duty: Modern Warfare players on PS4 or Xbox One are forced to turn off the crossplay function. The reason is simple: there are far too many cheaters on the PC.
Whether for CoD: Modern Warfares Multiplayer or Warzone, crossplay is actually a nice thing. The large player base ensures fast matchmaking, full lobbies and decent latencies in-game and players can also cross-platform play together with their friends.
It could be so good for a game if it weren't so easy to cheat on the PC. Aimbots, wallhacks, hacks that switch off the recoil of the weapons, the list of possibilities for messing up the game is long. The console players can actually only avoid this by deactivating crossplay. This is not to say that it is not possible to cheat on the console, it is only much more complicated.
However, recognizing the cheaters is rarely difficult. In multiplayer, the kill cam quickly reveals what happened:
The same applies to Warzone, if you want to be sure, you can use the Spactator mode afterwards:
It is simply not fun to play and it is understandable that players prefer the longer waiting times for a match than to be done by someone with Aimbot from an impossible distance.
Has Infinity Ward already tried hard in Warzone and banned 70,000 accountsIn the face of a good 50 million players, that's a very small part. Reddit has new posts every day about matches that were ruined by cheaters.
In some post, there are also demands that developers should deactivate crossplay and only allow it between PS4 and Xbox One. Maybe a temporary solution, what do you think?
