Infinity Ward seems to be preparing a number of new features for Season 6 in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and Warzone. After Dataminer had already come across details of the opening of a subway system on Verdansk while analyzing the update files for Season 5, new information is now coming from the developers themselves. In a current video on the Call of Duty League, the developers show one Metro station near the stadium, which in the current version of Verdansk does not even exist. Fans take this as a clear sign that the changes will be applied with the Season 6 update.
Infinity Ward already seems to be busy working on the Season 6 update for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and Warzone. Last week, Dataminers discovered details of a subway system in the current patch "Season 5 Reloaded", which could be activated together with the major update for the coming season on the Verdansk warzone map. At the weekend, Infinity Ward itself provided an indication that the developers were working in the background on the implementation of the new feature for the Battle Royale shooter.
At the End of a recent Call of Duty League video the developers show a fireworks animation over the famous stadium in Verdansk. Attentive gamers have noticed that the current version of the game was apparently not the basis for creating the clip. Because to the left of the stadium, a subway house can be seen that could function as an entrance to the underground system in the future. So far, the building is missing in the current game version.
It is believed that Verdansk will receive more metro stations with the Season 6 update. Dataminers have discovered references to stations at the airport, train station, downtown and on the Barakett Promenade. It is therefore likely that Call of Duty: Warzone will get a subway system with the next big patch and the start of Season 6. A confirmation from Infinity Ward has so far been pending. The release of Season 6 is expected for the end of September.
