Since our first steps, Path of Exile has been luring with its brutal and dark world, among other things. Wraeclast is definitely not a pony farm, but the home of countless monsters and horror figures. That won’t change anytime soon with the mega update Path of Exile 2. We were recently able to convince ourselves of this in a detailed gameplay preview for act 2 of the new story campaign. In addition, the developers have now published the concept images on which monsters, NPCs, bosses and entire levels are based. You can find the work of different artists on the official website of Path of Exile.

What is Path of Exile 2?

Path of Exile 2 represents the most extensive update of the ARPG from Grinding Gear Games: A completely new story campaign including additional classes will expand the previous game. Both the loot and gem systems are being revised, while new weapons such as spears and crossbows expand our heroes’ existing arsenal. On the technical side, players can look forward to fancier effects, lighting, textures and animations.

'6-Links', i.e. the linking of a skill gem with up to five support gems, will be possible in Path of Exile 2 with every skill - so far this has been possible with a maximum of two skills, since only chest armor and two-handed weapons have room for six Own gems.

When will Path of Exile 2 be released?

The sequel to Path of Exile 2 is delayed due to the corona pandemic, which is why the beta will start in 2022 at the earliest. The ultimatum league of patch 3.14.0 is currently in full swing, in which players can risk a lot for riches.
