At this year’s E3, Square Enix announced the new superhero game Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy. The title is a story-based third-person action adventure and is developed by Eidos Montreal. The original announcement only mentioned a release for the PC, the PlayStation 4 and 5, as well as the Xbox One and Xbox Series X | S. In the meantime, Nintendo has confirmed in this year’s E3-Nintendo-Direct that the title will also appear on the Nintendo Switch at the same time.

Since the hardware of the Nintendo Switch cannot keep up with the other consoles, the title will be released as a cloud-based product on the Nintendo console, similar to Hitman 3, Control and the future A Plague Tale: Requiem. Cloud-based gaming worked surprisingly well for the first two titles, which is why we can expect similar results for Guardians of the Galaxy.
Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy will be released on October 26, 2021 for PC, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5, as well as Xbox One and Xbox Series X | S.
