New trailer released with Keanu Reeves

from Christian Fussy
One month before the release of the long-awaited action RPG, CD Project RED has released a new trailer for Cyberpunk 2077. The commercial will be presented by Keanu Reeves, who will also appear in the finished product as NPC Johnny Silverhand.

During the first game of this year's NBA Final between Los Angeles and Miami, CD Project RED released a new promotional video for Cyberpunk 2077. In the roughly 30-second clip, Hollywood star Keanu Reeves gives an introduction to the futuristic Night City, which acts as the main setting for Cyberpunk 2077.

Explore Night City with Keanu Reeves

In the sci-fi role-playing game, Reeves lends the character Johnny Silverhand the voice and appearance and thus embodies one of the most important characters in history, according to the development team. Only protagonist V should have a higher proportion of speech than the fictional rock musician, who by the way had already died at the time of the plot of the game and should only appear as a projection in the head of the main character. A biochip was implanted in V that is packed with numerous functions and comes up with a few surprises.

Cyberpunk 2077: New live-action commercial released

The actor who already posted a trailer for Cyberpunk 2077 at E3 2019 (buy now € 58.19 ) also appears in the new advertisement as himself. In the usual casual manner, he describes Night City with a wink as a nefarious place where only those are considered criminals who allow themselves to be caught doing their wrongdoing.

The release of Cyberpunk 2077 is planned for November 19, 2020 and will probably no longer be postponed. Then the game for PC and the current console generation from Xbox One and Playstation 4 will appear. A release on the Nintendo Switch does not seem to be planned at the moment. For PS5 and Xbox Series X there should be a free upgrade on the day of release, with which the role-playing game can then also be played on the next-gen consoles.

The development of the mammoth project has not yet been completed, but is currently in the hot final phase. In order to meet the target release date, the management at CD Project RED ordered crunch time for the employees. The developers have to push 6-day weeks until the publication in six weeks.

This arrangement was revealed by journalist Jason Schreier and is highly controversial in the industry. Studio boss Adam Badowski recently made an official statement.
