For some time it has not been entirely clear how exactly the action film series Transformers will go on. At a press conference recently, however, the producers finally announced some details that should probably answer the most important questions from fans.
Accordingly, Transformers should (buy now ) 6 (if one Bumblebee not counting) officially called Transformers: Rise of the Beasts and will hit theaters on June 24, 2022. A date for the start of Germany has not yet been set. As the name suggests, the story of the new film is based on the animated series Transformers: Beast Wars and introduces the Maximals, Predacons and Terracons in addition to the already known factions Autobots and Decepticons. So you will see some Transformers in the shape of prehistoric animals. In addition to popular characters such as Optimus Prime and Bumblebee, appearances by Mirage, Nightbird and the new villain are planned. The events of the film are set in time between Bumblebee and the first Transformers flick.
There is also initial information about the human characters from Transformers: Rise of the Beasts. Among others, Anthony Ramos (Honest Thief), Dominique Fishback (Project Power) and Domenic Di Rosa (Teenage Werewolf) can be seen. The film is directed by Steven Caple Jr., who previously made a name for himself with Creed 2: Rocky’s Legacy. Action expert Michael Bay is also on board again as a producer.
