In the gamescom Opening Night 2021, the developers at Amazon Games revealed that there will be an Open Beta in September before the release. Everyone can take part – we’ll tell you how to do it.
After another postponement, New World will not appear until September 28th, which had aroused the desire for another beta test in many fans. And that is exactly what was revealed during the opening night of gamescom 2021: Shortly before the release of the Amazon MMORPG, there will be an open beta which, in contrast to previous sample options, is open to anyone interested. So far you either had to be a pre-orderer or be lucky with the draw.

When and how long will this beta be? The New World Open Beta will begin on September 9th at 4:00 p.m. UK time and run through September 13th at 8:59 a.m. Everyone is allowed to participate, the progress will not be reflected in the release version.
How do you take part in the Open Beta? Simply open the New World client in Steam (buy now 39,99 €) load and then start the game. A beta key or something similar is not necessary.
What content is in beta? In the last few weeks, the developers have mainly focused on getting exploits, bugs, server stability and queues under control. So there will be no new content for players who have already participated in the previous beta. You can still explore the world, theoretically reach the maximum level, let off steam in PvP or master dungeons (“expeditions)”. We were able to try out the latter together with the developers.
Will you attend the beta event shortly before the release to see the game for yourself? Do you prefer to approach the New World release from scratch? Let us know in the comments!
