Last week, the online role-playing game New World was able to successfully defend its top position in the Steam sales charts. But now there is a change on the throne to be announced: The zombie shooter Back 4 Blood can now be found there, which is likely to be due to the recently held beta test. New World, on the other hand, has lost some ground and is now in the lower regions of the top 10. The action role-playing game The Ascent and Tribes of Midgard are currently on the podium.
What about the rest of the Steam sales charts? Due to discounts and similar promotions, games such as the co-op hit It Takes Two and the first-person shooter Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 celebrated their comeback in the top 10. Games like Orcs Must Die! 3 and Hitman 2 in the Gold Edition, however, had to take their hats. The VR headset Valve Index, on the other hand, continues to hold up very bravely in the upper regions of the sales charts.
Incidentally, the amount of sales achieved is decisive for the placement of the individual games in the Steam sales charts. The charts are weekly in one XML feed on Steam issued. The following charts relate to the period from August 2nd to August 8th. Here is the overview:
