An official Xbox newsletter has the rumor mill on the Internet simmering at the highest temperature. A misleadingly designed ad for the Game Pass showed, among other things, games such as Assassin's Creed Valhalla and Dirt 5. Large parts of the Internet then clung to the utopian idea that the two big Xbox Series X launch games could be released directly in the game Land pass. Now this rumor has been officially denied.
With over 100 new games and releases, Microsoft is luring an ad for the new Game Pass for the Xbox Series X and S. Stupid only if the same ad shows pictures of titles like Assassin's Creed Valhalla and Dirt 5, which are actually not part of the access package will be. Xbox Live Program Director Larry Hryb apologized for the misunderstanding on Twitter.
The bright eyes of all hopeful Xbox fans suddenly went out when they found out on Twitter on September 23 that Assassin's Creed Valhalla (buy now € 58.48 ) and Dirt 5 wouldn't be part of the new Game Pass. Two big launch games of the Xbox Series X and S in Game Pass would really have been too much of a good thing. Larry Hryb explained the misunderstanding on Twitter as follows:
He then apologized for the ambiguous display. The pictures of the big Xbox highlight titles are only references for next-gen-optimized games. The Xbox community seems grateful for clearing up this faux pas, but at the same time it is disappointed that the two top games will not appear in Game Pass with the release of the new Xbox console on November 10, 2020.
The action adventure Assassin's Creed Valhalla from developer Ubisoft will be released on November 10, 2020, as will the next-gen console from Microsoft. Dirt 5 will even be launched before the Xbox Series X and S, but of course only for the time being PS4 and Xbox One. The racing game title will be released on November 6, 2020.
We give all readers daily free news, articles, guides, videos and podcasts on their favorite games. So far we have financed this site through advertising and kept it as free of clickbaits or paid items as possible, but since COVID-19 this has become increasingly difficult. Many companies are cutting or cutting their advertising budgets for 2020. Budgets that we unfortunately have to rely on if we want to continue to offer PC games free of charge as usual in the future.
For this reason we turn to you now. As a PC Games supporter, you can support us so that we can continue to offer our content in the usual form free of charge without introducing a paywall or publishing clickbait news like "And you won't believe what happened next …" . Every contribution, large or small, is valuable.
