Nvidia: Supposedly, the RTX 3080 Ti with 34 TFLOPs is already in the works – Gamesaktuell
If the statements of an insider are true, Nvidia could have started developing an RTX 3080 Ti. The model will then be sorted between the RTX 3080 and RTX 3090 and offer a total of 34 TFLOPs. Details about the CUDA cores and the memory can also be found in the leak. It will be some time before the GPU is released.
New rumors about an RTX 3080 Ti from Nvidia have surfaced on the internet today. The leak comes from an insider who published the actual specs before the current RTX 3000 range was revealed. Now Kopite has revealed the first details on another graphics card from Nvidia on Twitter. Accordingly, the company is currently working on the production of an RTX 3080 Ti. If the information is correct, the GPU will be somewhere between the RTX 3080 and RTX 3090 in the performance range. The exact name of the chip should be GA102-250-A1. The model should offer 34 TFLOPs and be equipped with 9984 CUDA cores. It is currently unclear whether Nvidia will use 12 GB or 24 GB GDDR6X memory in the RTX 3080 Ti. The graphics card is said to be still early in development.
First of all, the launch of the RTX 3070 is imminent. It is the cheapest model of the new GPU range from Nvidia to date. From October 29, 2020 the graphics card can be purchased from various retailers. At 499 euros, the price is below the RTX 3080 (699 euros) and the RTX 3090 (1,499 euros).
