Nvidia GeForce RTX 3060 – sales start

The sales start of the new Nvidia GeForce RTX 3060 should be at 6:00 p.m. sharp. In view of the currently empty graphics card market, it was to be expected that the new bolide would sell out quickly. In the Founders Edition from Nvidia, it was launched for 329 euros, in variants from partner manufacturers as an RRP for more than 500 euros in some cases. You could see this for example a mini variant of PNY; which, according to the Nvidia website, should cost 586.20 euros at Amazon. In another previously published news, we also try to keep you up to date with the latest links to shops that offer the GeForce RTX 3060. On Friday (February 26th) we will also offer you a performance assessment of the new Nvidia graphics card in the form of a special. But how did the sales start on Thursday? We tried to buy a copy in stores – quite normally, without a bot and without acceptance for an exorbitant price.

This is how we experienced the purchase attempt

At 6:00 p.m. there was unfortunately nothing to be seen on Nvidia's website regarding the possibility of buying the GeForce RTX 3060. We kept updating the website, first every 10 seconds, then every 30 seconds, starting at 6:10 p.m. every minute. At around 6:12 p.m., the Nvidia website showed a copy with a link to a shop, namely the PNY model mentioned above with a reference to the Amazon website. There it was no longer available after clicking on the link. We suspect that links on the Nvidia website were only active for an extremely short period of time and that we missed this moment, possibly after 6:10 p.m. when we only reloaded the website once a minute. In short: Apparently it only took a few minutes until the copies of the GeForce RTX 3060, which were offered for sale at the RRP, were completely sold out. Now – as of 6:30 p.m. – we don't see any variants of the Nvidia GeForce RTX 3060 available in normal shops. Apparently, however, many have tried, and in vain – at For example, there are already more than 20 negative opinions on this Gigabyte GeForce RTX 3060 for less expensive notebooks, which almost all give a star, because the card was apparently sold out after a few seconds or a copy that had already been placed in the shopping cart was gone when you wanted to pay for it. Have you been lucky and got an RTX 3060 – or even tried? Or is the graphics card misery currently passing you by because your current graphics card is sufficient for you? Leave us a comment if you want.
