The action adventure Oddworld: Soulstorm appears exclusively for the PlayStation platforms. Sony and Oddworld Inhabitants announced this at the big PlayStation event. However, a specific release date is still not clear.
It has been known for some time that the action adventure Oddworld: Soulstorm will be released for PC and consoles later this year. But the Xbox owners among you (at least for the time being) go away empty-handed. As Sony and the developer studio Oddworld Inhabitants revealed during a big event yesterday evening, the console release is planned exclusively on the PlayStation platforms – including the PlayStation 5. Whether it is a time-limited exclusivity is up to date not known.
The team also revealed that all versions should appear on the same day, with the PC version being available exclusively in the Epic Games Store. There are also some new details on the content and gameplay of Oddworld: Soulstorm. So you have to search for materials at different locations during the adventure in order to use them to manufacture tools and weapons, among other things, that support you in the further course. In addition to the Jump & Run elements, you can also expect some role-playing aspects, ranking lists for comparison with other players, and a progress system that has not yet been defined. The story starts after the events of Odddworld: New 'n' Tasty – after the hero Abe defeated the nasty Molluck the Glukkon and freed the Mudokons.
By the way, below the message you will not only find a new trailer from Oddworld: Soulstorm with a mix of gameplay scenes and cutscenes, but also some screenshots that are no less worth seeing.
