Already announced in an interview, the new rating system for Mythic Plus dungeons has now also arrived on the PTR for WoW Patch 9.1. And the developers at Blizzard have actually very, very strongly oriented themselves to the current Raider.io score.
When it was announced some time ago that the developers of Blizzard were considering introducing a rating system for Mythic Plus dungeons in WoW, opinions differed. Some of the players were happy that addons like Raider.io could become superfluous. Still other players were not very enthusiastic about the fact that such scores are now tied to all players and that they could possibly have an even greater (and possibly negative) influence. In any case, now the time has come and the official Blizzard system has arrived on the PTR of Patch 9.1.
It quickly becomes clear that Blizzard did not go to great lengths to disguise the origin in the Raider.io addon.
- You are assigned a value per dungeon based on the level of the completed dungeon. These values together then result in the Mythic + rating.
This rating is displayed for every player who applies for your group via the tool. On the other hand, as a potential applicant, you also see the rating of the group leader of each group listed in the tool.
However, the system does not seem to be complete yet, as some features are missing. Ion Hazzikostas had actually announced that there would be different ratings for Reinforced and Tyrannical give. But nothing of that can be seen on the PTR yet.
In addition, it remains unclear for the time being how exactly the value is determined – how strongly the level and time are each weighted. But it is quite possible that Blizzard is also based on the Raider.io score here.
