It was believed that everything had gone smoothly with the Pokémon Go Fest 2021 and then afterwards it was discovered: puff cake. The fans who bought the ticket for the Pokémon Go Fest 2021 are now disappointed that the special research, the features of which should actually always be available, apparently had a part that is limited in time. It’s about rock and star Pikachu.
Rock or star? Rock star!
To explain the problem, we have to go back a little: As part of the special research “The Melody Pokémon” for the mystical Pokémon Meloetta, the trainers have to decide several times during the steps which pocket monster they prefer to another. One choice is rock pikachu and star pikachu – players can only choose one of them. If you complete all the steps of the special research, you will end up with a pose inspired by rock or star Pikachu.
What if you want both?
Now the highlight: If you completed the special research on the Saturday of the Pokémon Go Fest 2021 within the period of the event and then took a snapshot, then the Pikachu of your choice could appear again and bomb your photo. In other words: You then had a Pikachu that you could have exchanged for the other music Pikachu. However, this only worked on July 17th during the event!
The fans who missed this opportunity are now angry because the developers of Niantic would not have clearly communicated this fact in their eyes. “After completing the special research, don’t forget to take a snapshot – a surprise awaits you!” namely in the original announcement of the festival.
The fine print
Of course you can understand that the fans are stinky. But the problem in the argument is the second official post for the Pokémon Go Fest 2021 from the Niantic people. Because in Outlook on the hyperbonus it says: “Take a snapshot during the event period on Saturday as soon as you have completed the special research. A wild Star Pikachu or Rocker Pikachu will appear – depending on which you have previously selected.” This is of course formulated quite clearly.
One could say that those who didn’t read the “small print” were unlucky. But this information is also at the heart of a wall of text that not every Pokémon Go player may have the patience to read through. But maybe the developers of Pokémon Go let themselves be softened and snap the photo bomb from rock and star Pikachu again.
