Switch owners take note: load your weapons and get ready. In the near future you will be able to put your hands on a popular shooter from Blizzard – and it's completely free. The only catch: the free test phase will only be available for a short time.
A rumor comes true
The shooter Overwatch is popular and is still played with great pleasure, but in the past some had decided not to use it and instead turned to other titles.
In the meantime, there have been some rumors that Overwatch would become a "Free2Play" game and they are now coming true, at least for a short time.
Each console had special launch games, but which one tops the ranking?
Play Overwatch for free
Nintendo has announcedthat the Switch version of the hero shooter will be the next game to be available as part of the Nintendo Switch "Online Game Trial Program". That means for a couple of days all characters, modes and maps on the handheld console for free to provide.
When is it ready?
From October 13th to 20th, 2020 you can play the game on the Switch for free. As with the free weekends, you have the opportunity to take all the progress you made during the test phase with you when you buy the game.
Overwatch Legendary Edition is currently heavily discounted. This contains the game, 5 legendary hero skins, 5 epic hero skins, 5 Origin hero skins and much more. Until October 15th you will only pay 19.79 instead of 59.99 euros.
The community is currently waiting for the release of Overwatch 2, which will appear for the Switch alongside other platforms. An exact release date is not yet known, but you will have to be patient until at least 2021. We'll keep you up to date.
