Pokémon GO: August 2020 with lots of events – that's what you can expect in the next few weeks

In August there are lots of events waiting for you in Pokémon Go. The following schedule reveals which dates in which smartphone adventure events are pending. The highlights undoubtedly include the Hyper bonus weekswho have earned hobby coaches for completing the challenges at Pokémon Go Fest 2020. The dragon week is already running: Since July 31, the dragon monsters have been available in all shapes and sizes. Rayquaza also appears in the level 5 raids. This is followed by the Enigma and Einall weeks.

Because the Pokémon Go Fest 2020 had technical problems with the habitats, quit Niantic a compensation event for August 16 on. All players who had a ticket to Go Fest 2020 can participate in the event. The special feature: During the event, the Pokémon from the habitats of the Go Festival 2020 appear more often in the wild. Previously, on August 8th, is the Community Day for August 2020 scheduled. This time, the fish Pokémon Karpador is in the spotlight. There are also new spotlight hours – spread over the entire month. Hyper Bonus Week 1: Dragons (July 31, 2020 to August 7)

Pocket monsters like Alola-Kokowei, Seeper, Dratini, Knacklion, Wablu and Kindwurm appear here more often than usual. Pokémon like Seeper and Dratini hatch from the 7 km eggs. Visit level 5 raids to battle Rayquaza. If you want to catch two Kapuno, you have to complete the temporary research in the dragon week.

Pokémon on research breakthrough in August

The skin-changing Pokémon Zurrokex will appear on research breakthroughs from Saturday, August 1, at 10 p.m. to Tuesday, September 1, 2020, at 10 p.m.

August 4: Pokémon Spotlight Hour

Seeper is in the spotlight and you'll get twice as many candies for catching Pokémon.

Hyper Bonus Week 2: Enigma (August 7th to 14th)

In the wilderness you will encounter monsters like star du, pummeluff, pie and luna stone. It is also worth hatching the 7 km eggs. Because during the Enigma week, Pii, fluffeluff and luna stone are increasingly hatched. Anyone participating in raids can look forward to duels with Bronzong, Lepumentas, Pygraulon and Icognito U, L, T, R and A. In level 5 battles you will face Deoxys. With luck you will also catch a Shiny Deoxys and Star Du.

Community Day in August 2020 (August 8, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.)

This time, the fish Pokémon Karpador is in the spotlight. If you develop the monster into an event, Garados learns the wet-tail attack. You can get the necessary sweets for this, for example, from exclusive field research projects for the event. For the Community Day in August 2020, a special box is available in the Pokémon Go in-game shop that contains 30 hyperballs, a top-loading TM, six star pieces and a smoke. There is also triple star dust and smoke lasts for three hours.

August 11: Pokémon Spotlight Hour

Zobiris is in the spotlight and you will receive twice as many candies for sending Pokémon.

Hyper Bonus Week 3: All (August 14th to 21st)

Uniquely Pokémon such as Strawickl, Waumboll, Emolga and Bisofank appear here for the first time in Pokémon Go. Bisofank appears in the wild in New York City (USA) and surroundings. Genesect appears in level 5 raid battles – with luck, you can catch a dazzling specimen. Shiny Kiesling are also on the go.

2020 Pokémon Go Fest Compensation Event (August 16)

On August 16, a global compensation event will take place in Pokémon Go from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Pokémon from the Go Festival 2020 habitats pop up more often in the wild during the in-game event. Note that you can only participate if you have a ticket to Go Fest 2020. During the compensation event, you will encounter more monsters of the habitat hours fire (11 a.m.), water (12 a.m.) and friendship (1 p.m.) in the wilderness.

August 18: Pokémon Spotlight Hour

Toxiped is in the spotlight and you'll earn twice as much XP for developing Pokémon.

August 25: Pokémon Spotlight Hour

Kleinstein is in the spotlight and you get twice as much stardust for catching Pokémon.
